Thank You for a Wonderful Domestic Violence Awareness Month!

As we move into the holiday season, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who supported us throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). October was a whirlwind, and we couldn’t have done it without you! From sharing about the purple ribbons around town to cheering for us in the EOU parade, joining our candlelight vigil, enjoying the movie night, and visiting our advocates at the Downtown Trick-or-Treat, your support has been incredible. Each of these moments shared with you helps raise awareness and make our community a safer place for survivors, and we are so grateful.

Annual Christmas Family Program

With the holiday season approaching, we’re excited to announce the start of our annual Christmas Family Program. This program is dedicated to supporting families who have sought our help and services throughout the year. For many of our families, this season can be especially challenging, as they’re navigating the difficulties of rebuilding after leaving abusive situations. Our goal is to make Christmas a little brighter for them by providing gifts and essentials for their holiday celebrations.

How You Can Help

Here’s how the program works: we have a list of families who need support, each with a Christmas wishlist filled out with items that would make the season special for them. We’re reaching out to our community—generous organizations and individuals like you—who are willing to sponsor a family. By sponsoring, you’ll help us fulfill their Christmas wishlists, bringing hope and joy during a time when they need it most.

If you’re interested in sponsoring a family, please reach out by replying to this email or by giving us a call at the office at 541-963-9261. Once a family’s wish list is prepared, we’ll send it to you, and we ask that you bring back the purchased items unwrapped so that we can coordinate the final gift distribution to the family.
